MEMPHIS, Tenn. (June 1, 2011) -- Dynamic Gold shafts by True Temper Sports delivered dramatic consistency and world-acclaimed accuracy to win the Byron Nelson Championship on the PGA Tour, the Senior PGA Championship on the Champions Tour and the BMW PGA Championship on the European Tour. The triple play marked the 42nd and 43rd wins of the year for True Temper on the PGA and European Tours.

Despite the Texas heat and dry 35-mph wind gusts at the Byron Nelson Championship, a PGA Tour rookie was cool under pressure playing Dynamic Gold shafts in his irons. He shot 66-71-72-68 and then fired a fateful shot with his 6-iron on the first playoff hole that placed him in position to win his first PGA Tour title.

On the European Tour, the BMW Championship winner became the No. 1 player in the world playing Dynamic Gold Tour Issue shafts in his Mizuno Irons and a DG Spinner shaft in his lob wedge. Meanwhile on the Champions Tour, a 40-year tour veteran and eight-time majors winner used Dynamic Gold in his irons and a Project X hybrid to win the Senior PGA Championship.

"This was an exciting weekend of playoff drama. The young rookie's solid 6-iron shot at the Nelson and the European veteran's accurate approach shot at Wentworth were both classic examples of how the accuracy and consistency of Dynamic Gold can make all the difference," says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports. 'For more than 70 years, True Temper has set the industry standard. More than any other shaft technology in the history of the game, True Temper shafts have earned a reputation for delivering winning results week after week."
