FORT WORTH, Texas (May 16, 2011) -- Oklahoma State star Peter Uihlein won the coveted 2011 Ben Hogan Award on Monday night, beating out teammate Kevin Tway and UCLA freshman Patrick Cantlay for the prestigious award.
Uihlein is the second Cowboy in the past four years to win the award, joining friend Rickie Fowler.
During Golfweek.com's exclusive, live webcast, Uihlein also Tweeted that he would return to Oklahoma State for his senior season.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma State coach Mike McGraw told Golfweek's Asher Wildman Monday night that junior Morgan Hoffmann wouldn't return for his senior season, opting to turn pro sometime after NCAAs. It is still unclear whether Hoffmann will turn pro before the Walker Cup in September.
