Tutwiler 4-Ball: Earsley, Lefferdink victorious
WELLINGTON, Fla. (May 12, 2011) -- The team of Steve Earsley (Hobe Sound) and Van Lefferdink (Palm Beach Gardens) posted a 3-under par 69 for a 203 total, good for a three shot victory over Taylor Metcalf (Glendadle, O) and Tom Elfers (Loveland, O). Both groups started the final round tied for the lead, but the best Metcalfe and Elfers could muster was an even par 72, good for second place.

In the Super Senior Division, Gary Strickfadden (Southern Pines, NC) and partner Larry Boswell (Jamestown, NC) blew the division wide open with a 5-under par 67 for a 203 total and the title. 36 hole leaders Richard Tatum (Sandy Springs, GA) and Nick Kirkland (Snellville, GA) finished second with a 72, and 205 total.

In typical late spring style, the light rain fell throughout the round and at times came down with vigor, not unlike Kennedy and Cuba.

The Wanderers Club, it was agreed by all, is a very special course and club. Again we want to thank Director of Golf Justin Thompson, Club Manager Jim Capetelli, and Superintendent Scott Davidson for a great job on all points.
