Tie Atop Georgia Women's Four-Ball Final Leaderboard

JEKYLL ISLAND, Georgia (April 20, 2011) -- Ashley and Rose Mary Dixon finished in a first place tie with Belinda Marsh and Alice Richardson after both teams compiled two-day scores of 123 at the Georgia Women's Golf Association annual Four-Ball event at the Jekyll Island Club.

The team of Marsh and Richardson (63-60---123) were two shots ahead after Round 1 but a final-round 60 by Team Dixon (61-62---123) was the difference maker in forcing the tie.

Teresa Register and Deena Smith placed third (60-65---125) while Anneke Woodward and Ramona Woods were fourth (61-65---126).

ABOUT THE Georgia Women's Four Ball

The GWGA Four-Ball Tournament is a 36-hole tournament with net scoring, traditionally held annually at Jekyll Island. The tournament will be played on the Pine Lake and Indian Mounds courses. Each team consists of two GWGA members with a USGA handicap index of 23.2 or less.
