Lilleboe Gets Hot Early to Capture Birchmont Title
BEMIDJI, MINN (August 1, 2010) -- All American Eric Lilleboe mixed an opening bogey with two birdies and an eagle in the first four holes to take an early 2- up lead over Kevin Krigbaum in the the 86th annual Birchmont Golf Tournament in Bemidji, Minnesota. Lilleboe would build on that lead and cap the tournament with another eagle on the par-5 15th hole to win the championship 5 and 4.

Lilleboe was one of nine players to earn first-team All-America recognition and lone representative from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The selection of Lilleboe represents the 10th time in which a Ferris State men's golf student-athlete has attained All-America status. He also is the first individual in the program's history to receive first-team accolades.

Rick Passot defeated Curt Howard 2 and 1 in the executive division. Braden Ohmen took down Dakotah Brunelle in the junoor division 4 and 3. In the ladies division Rachel Roller palyed stellar 1-under par golf to knock out Cyndney Hasselberg.

Men's Executive Division
Open to men age 30 and over. 36 holes qualifying. Low 16 qualify for Championship flight. Matches begin on Wednesday. Non-qualifiers placed in Chairman’s Flight based upon score and Men’s Flights depending on handicap.

Senior Men's Division
Open to men age 50 and over. Low 16 qualify for Championship Flight, which begins on Wednesday. Non- qualifiers placed in Director's Flight based on score and Senior Men's flights depending on handicap.

Masters Division
Low 16* qualify for Championship Flight which begins on Wednesday. Non-qualifiers placed in Senior Men's Flights depending on handicap. *Based upon minimum 16 entrants

Junior Division (ages 13-17)
Low 16 from Monday’s round qualify for Championship Flight, which begins on Wednesday. Non-qualifiers placed in Junior Regular flights.

Junior Division (ages 10-12)
All play in this division is 9 holes. Flights of 8 determined by Monday's qualifying round. Match play begins Wednesday.
