PENSACOLA, Fla. (May 14, 2010) – Virginians John Long and John Price completed a wire-to-wire tournament performance Friday to win the 28th annual Society of Seniors/Ed Tutwiler Memorial Four-Ball at Pensacola Country Club.

Long, of Centreville, and Price, of Chantilly, closed with 69 for 198, winning the senior division for players 55-64 years of age by three strokes. This followed rounds of 62-67 the first two days when they led by five and seven shots, respectively.

In the super seniors flight for members 65 and older, Georgians Nick Kirkland, Snellville, and Richard Tatum, Atlanta, closed with 66-203, coming from three strokes behind Thursday to win by one.

It was the first Society of Seniors overall or age group title for any of the four players.

The third event of the SofS season, which honors one of the organization’s founders, drew 29 teams. Next on the schedule will be the second annual The Hesler July 19-22 at Scioto CC in Columbus, Ohio.
