GRAND JUNCTION, CO (July 25, 2005) -- Bill Fowler of Rolling Hills CC fired a second round 69 for a six-under total of 136 to earn a one-stroke victory in the CGA Western Chapter Championship at Tiara Rado Golf Course in Grand Junction. For Fowler, this was a long awaited return to the CGA winner’s circle, as his last CGA individual championship win came in 1989 in the Mid-Amateur. Defending champion, Jeff Franks of Haymaker GC, finished in second place at 137 after carding a final round 72. Eric Winder and Sey Johnson tied for third at 139.
