Colorado (CGA) Western Chapter Championship

GRAND JUNCTION, CO (July 25, 2005) -- Bill Fowler of Rolling Hills CC fired a second round 69 for a six-under total of 136 to earn a one-stroke victory in the CGA Western Chapter Championship at Tiara Rado Golf Course in Grand Junction. For Fowler, this was a long awaited return to the CGA winner’s circle, as his last CGA individual championship win came in 1989 in the Mid-Amateur. Defending champion, Jeff Franks of Haymaker GC, finished in second place at 137 after carding a final round 72. Eric Winder and Sey Johnson tied for third at 139.

ABOUT THE Colorado Western Chapter

36 holes of stroke play. Open and Senior Flights with gross and net divisions. Must be an active member of the Colorado Golf Association. The event also serves as a qualifier for the CGA Stroke Play.
