South Dakota Amateur: Mead in playoff

RAPID CITY, S.D. (July 27, 2008)--Geoff Mead of Rapid City birdied the fourth playoff hole to win the SDGA Men's Amateur Championship on Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Country Club in Rapid City.
Mead defeated defending champion Matt Pridey of Sioux Falls to claim his first SDGA title after both golfers finished regulation at 3-under-par 210.
Both birdied the first extra hole, then parred the second to keep their hopes alive. After each birdied the third extra hole, Mead closed out the Championship with a short birdie putt on the par-5 18th hole.
Tyler Rachetto of Rapid City finished third at 1-under.
