amateurgolf.com Tournament Series Update
05 May 2008

CARLSBAD, Calif. -- Another strong field is coming together May 24-25 for the 8th Annual Monterey Bay Championship. This popular tournament means a lot to us – it was the inaugural event in the amateurgolf.com Tournament Series! This year we will compete on a composite course of 9 new holes from Bayonet (the front nine, which we played last year) and the newest 9 holes to open at Black Horse, the back nine.

With so much to do in Monterey and Carmel, it’s a great way to spend Memorial Day weekend. Come alone, or bring your family, but either way you’ll have Saturday and Sunday for golf, and Monday to enjoy the area or get another round of golf in. Visit our website www.amateurgolf.com/tour for lodging options and tournament registration.

You are invited to one of the Bay Area’s finest private clubs for amateurgolf.com’s first-ever charity tournament! And this is not your classic Monday outing  – we’re going to see how many birdies we can record and pay out from an optional “pool” that is established prior to play. Entry fee, including optional $30 skins pot, is just $125! Details on this unique format, as well as registration information, can be found at http://ww.amateurgolf.com/tour

Most important is the fact that, for the first time, amateurgolf.com is asking our members to participate in something that is going to be fun and competitive, while raising money for a great cause. 100% of the proceeds will go towards the newly established scholarship, to be awarded in conjunction with the NCGA Foundation. We hope you can join us and make this tournament a huge success. Hole sponsorships are just $500 including a tournament player entry.
