We're departing this week for our annual AmateurGolf.com Two Man Links Championship at Bandon Dunes Resort in coastal Oregon. No matter where you live, Bandon Dunes amounts to a trek. It continues once you get there. Planning a trip soon? We give you a look at some of our musts for a week of golf immersion.

BOOK
Golf in the Kingdom
Buy on Amazon Listen on Audible
I am going all in on the links golf experience at Bandon Dunes and reading Micheal Murphy’s classic Golf in the Kingdom. In all fairness, I have listened to this book in the past, but there are just so many wonderful lessons in this book, that I need to go back and actually read. Golf in the Kingdom is recognized as one of the classic golf books that discusses some of the deepest mysteries of golf. A legendary Scottish links course, a mysterious golf pro names Shivas Irons and a holy man who haunts the ravine off the thirteenth fairway. -Kyle Rector

(F)LIGHT READING
GolfClubAtlas.com
We will be playing four of the most inspiring courses in the world, and to get in the mood I will be visiting Golf Club Atlas, a website devoted to the best of golf course architecture. I can read detailed course reviews (all four Bandon courses are profiled with a number of great images), writings on the principles of golf course architecture, interviews with course designers and participate in a discussion group where all sorts of ideas get kicked around. -Chris Brauner

CAMERA
Lumix G7
Buy on Amazon
In the last year, I’ve been getting more into video and photography. After months of research, I found that this Panasonic Lumix G7 Mirrorless camera. This camera is small, rugged, and can shoot amazing 4K video. Along with a Rode Video Mic [https://amzn.to/2UPUMMN], a compact Tripod, and an extra memory card, this is the perfect camera to make some amazing content at Bandon Dunes. -Kyle Rector

TRAVEL BAG
Sun Mountain Club Glider
Buy on Amazon
I travel frequently with my golf clubs, so I have gone through my fair share of travel bags. This Sun Mountain Club Glider is best I have tried. This bag is durable and super easy to maneuver around the airport. I’m bringing extra gear with me to Bandon this year, so having a golf travel bag that I can handle with one hand is key. -Kyle Rector

SHOES
Nike Roshe G
Buy on Amazon
If you’re doing it right, any weekend at Bandon is going to include a lot of walking. These Nike Roshe G’s feel just like everyday running shoes, so I can wear them for anything I happen to be doing on a golf course – playing, reporting or coaching my high schoolers (when they walk, I walk). I can’t wait to christen them with 72 holes in Oregon. -Julie Williams

APPAREL
Peter Millar EB66 Performance Five-Pocket Pant
Buy on PeterMillar.com

Because springtime in Bandon, Ore., is a little behind springtime where I live, it's going to feel pretty cool for me, which is why I'll be wearing my Peter Millar cool-weather gear. I wore it for the first time while covering the U.S. Amateur at Pebble Beach last "summer," and I found that it gave me the best combination of keeping me warm while allowing me to move freely. -Chris Brauner

RAIN GLOVES
FootJoy RainGrip Pair Golf Gloves
Buy on Amazon
Aside from being a little cool, spring weather in Oregon can also be a little dicey. These rain gloves are a must. They come in a set of two, and the wetter they get, the grippier they are. -Pete Wlodkowski

BACKPACK
Classic Jones Backpack

Buy on JonesSportsCo.com

Going on a golf trip always means taking my computer, because golfing and writing are usually overlapping for me. Somehow, a million other things seem to find their way into my bag for the trip (microphones, notebooks, magazines, snacks, you name it). I've found that this backpack is durable enough to have held up for miles on the road, and is comfortable on my shoulders even when I way overload it. (Bonus points because Jones is an Oregon-based company.) -Julie Williams
