St. Augustine Amateur: Evelyn takes Day 2 lead

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (Oct. 20, 2007)-- Danny Evelyn of Wellington, FL., took a two stroke lead at the St. Augustine Amateur after firing his second straight round of 3-under-par 67.

The 19-year-old played bogey-free golf to pull ahead of his nearest competitor, Wesley Graham.

Eight golfers are at even par or better.

ABOUT THE St. Augustine Amateur

54 hole stroke play event for better amateurs and collegiate players. The field will be limited to 84 players, with no cut. The tournament is open to Amateurs only whose entry has been accepted by the Tournament Committee however there is an open qualifier several weeks prior to the event - contact the Tournament Committee or visit the website for details.

Unless prior arrangements are made with the approval of the Committee, competitors must walk during the competition.
