GLENDORA, CA (Septermber 19, 2017) - Carding the low round of the day for both Rounds 1 and 2, the duo of Mark Gardner and Michael Rowley captured the 2017 SCGA Senior Four-Ball Championship Tuesday at Glendora CC.

After an opening round of 64, a second round 66 led the two first-time SCGA champions to a 4-shot victory at 14-under par 130.

2015 Champions Jeff Burda and Jim Knoll finished four shots back, matching Gardner and Rowley with a Round 2 66 to follow up their openign round 68 to catapult into second place.

The team of Gardner/Rowley held a 3-stroke lead at the conclusion of Round 1, with Doug Williams/Jim Williams and Craig Calkins/Rick Doebler tied for second. Round 2 would be less friendly to the duos, however, as the Williams team would eventually finish T7 while Calkins/Doebler would card a closing-round 74 to finish T11.
