OCALA, FL (January 29, 2017) -- With day one of the Florida Winter Series Stone Creek Golf Club event in the books the leaderboard is a crowded one. On Sunday three players posted 1-under 71's to share the Mid-Amateur Division lead with one round to play.
The 1-under group includes Jim Marcelak, Jason Counsil and Kevin Altenhof.
Matt Sheran will begin the final round one back at even-par and in fourth place while Charles Alexander who shot a 2-over 74 sits in fifth place.
In the Senior Division Chip Kelly paces the field following a 2-under 70 that puts him one in front of Rob Norland and John Vaccaro. A quartet of players --John Milton Jr., Tom Hagan, Kevin Macy and Lloyd Fisher-- are tied for fourth at 2-over after 74's.
The Super Senior Division is being led by Bobby Barben who shot the round of the day with a 6-under 66. TP Tunstall, Jerry Young and Tom Grady Jr. are a distant second place at 2-under.
