WAHIAWA, Hawaii (November 3, 2016) -- With the help of medalist winner Julia Becker Sacramento State has won the Rainbow Wahine Invitational hosted by the Leilehua Golf Course. The Hornets were the only team to complete the 54-holes under-par as they finished 1-under and seven ahead of second place BYU.

Sacramento State began the final day in second place but they teamed for a 5-under last day to pick up their first team win in two years.

Becker picked up the first individual victory of her career by finishing 5-under and one in front of BYU's Rose Huang. The sophomore combined rounds of 68-72-71 throughout the two days and finished her tournament with three birdies and a double-bogey.

The complete compliment of Sacramento State players completed play inside the top-20; junior Astha Madan was fourth at 1-over, senior Chloe Bartek was tied for fifth at 2-over, in a tie for 13th was it was freshman Nishtha Madan with a 4-over tally while freshman Sofie Babic was tied for 18th at 7-over.

Behind runner-up BYU (+6) it was Hawaii (+11) in third, Portland State (+18) in fourth and North Dakota State (+24) in fifth.
