(October 2, 2016) -- Qualifying for the 2017 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball at Pinehurst No. 2 has been underway since the end of August and the field for next May's tournament is beginning to take shape.

The pair finished with medalist honors after they fired a bogey-free, seven birdie 7-under 64 at Vista Valley Country Club on Columbus. Starting on the 10th hole the pair combined for four birdies, including three in a row from Nos. 11-13 to turn in 4-under 31. They continued the strong play with three additional second nine birdies to close in 3-under 33.

Two of the top players in California --Tim Hogarth and Corby Segal-- have punched their ticket as well.
