Josh Lampley captures Greenwood Invitational

GREENWOOD, MS (July 10, 2016) -- Josh Lampley finished 5-under and won the Greenwood Invitational at Greenwood Country Club on Sunday. Lampley combined rounds of 69-70 to win by one-stroke over Edward Wall.

In the first round Lampley rolled in six birdies and three bogeys to post a 3-under score. During his second round, which began on the 10th hole, Lampley carded five more birdies and three bogeys.

Edward Wall finished 4-under and in second place. Wall, began his final round on No. 10 and missed out on a potential playoff after he bogeyed No. 7, his 16th hole of the day.

Rodney Boswell was 1-under and in third while Brett Parker, Charles Neel White III and Alan Ellis all finished 1-over in fifth place tie.

ABOUT THE Greenwood Invitational

Eligibility: Open to Male Amateurs who have reached their 18th birthday on or before the first day of the tournament or who have graduated high school.

Format: Field size is limited to first 160 paid players. The tournament is scheduled for 54 holes of stroke play. The field will be flighted after 36 holes of play.
