VICTORIA, AUS (March 12, 2016)--Yumi Kudo, 11-under, has lead wire-to-wire and has now opened a commanding seven-stroke lead after the third round of the Women's Riversdale Cup.

Kudo is one of just three players under-par in the event as she took control of things with an impressive 5-under 67. After a 1-under frontside Kudo kicked it up a notch on the back nine with birdies on four of the first five holes including three straight from 10-12. Kudo posted a closing nine 32.

Kirsty Hodgkins is in second place at 4-under for the tournament and Munchin Keh is in third with a three round total of 3-under.

Round Two Story

Yumi Kudo fired her second consecutive 3-under 69 and sits at 6-under overall to lead the Women's Riverside Cup by three strokes at the midway point.

Kudo put together a steady day two round. She eagled five but gave a stroke back on six before playing a bogey free back nine that included birdies on the 12th and 14th holes.

Momoko Osato made a big move with a 4-under 68 to sit in second place alone. Just three other players sit under-par through two rounds; Momoka Kobori (-2), Kirsty Hodgkins (-1) and Munchin Keh (-1).

Yumi Matsubura, the only other player in red figures after the first round with a 1-under 70 struggled in the second round. Matsubura bogeyed her second hole of the day and ended with a disappointing 8-over 80.

Round One Story

Yumi Kudo was one of just two players to post an under-par score in round one.

It was a shaking start to the day for Kudo as she started the day 3-over through the first two holes. Kudo then turned things around in a big way starting on the fourth hole where she picked up her first birdie of the day.

The birdie on four was the beginning of a 4-under, five hole stretch. Kudo also birdied five, picked up an eagle on six, slipped up with a bogey on seven before capping the run with an eighth hole birdie.

All in all it was a 1-under front side that set the stage for a 2-under back nine that had three birdies and a bogey on the score card.

Yumi Matsubura was the only other player to finish under-par posting a score of 1-under. Doey Choi sits three back at even-par while three others sit four back at 1-over.
