NICHOLASVILLE, KY (August 15, 2006) -- While the scoreboard watchers wondered if the posted 145 scores would hold up and cause a playoff for the championship, James Dunaway of Beatyville posted the last score of the day and clipped the other leaders by a shot. His 144 total was good enough to secure the 2006 KSGA Senior Amateur Championship trophy and honors at Champion Trace Golf Club. The overall low net winner was Vernon Denham of Louisville with a total of 135.
