Jaime Girardi leads qualifying at Florida Mid-Amateur
JUPITER, Fla. (Oct. 9, 2014) — Medalist honors are up for grabs at the Florida Mid-Amateur on Thursday as Jaime Girardi carded a two-under par round of 70. Eighteen more holes will be played Friday morning as players will try to earn the No. 1 seed heading into Friday afternoon's first round of match play.
The top 32 players will make it to match play, which will end on Sunday at The Loxahatchee Club in Jupiter, Fla.
The cut is at six-over after the first round of qualifying.
Sitting in second place is R.J. Nakashian at 71 while Matthew Salane is in third at 73.
Nakashian claimed the Florida Mid-Senior Championship back in August, winning by one shot over Doug Snoap.
