Chicago District Amateur: Top seed falls in Round 1
CLARENDON HILLS, Ill. (June 24, 2014) -- Top seed and stroke-play co-medalist Raymond Knoll was upset by No. 16 Thomas O'Bryan in the first round of match play at the 95th Chicago District Amateur at Hinsdale Golf Club.
O'Bryan won 3 and 2, sending himself into the quarterfinal to face Kyle Kochevar, a 3 and 1 win over Kyle Nathan.
Jordan Fahel knocked off No. 4 Blake Biddle for another upset and will face No. 5 Quinn Prchal Wedneday.
No. 15 Brett Tomfohrde is also moving on. He beat Jack Watson 2 and 1 in first-round action.
No. 14 Tim Tynan, No. 7 Tee-K Kelly and No. 6 Blake Johnson also won on Tuesday.
