S. Carolina Match Play: Langley, Kauffman reach final
SEABROOK ISLAND, SC (June 7, 2014) -– Quarterfinal & semifinal results of the 42nd South Carolina Amateur Match Play Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association hosted by Seabrook Island Club in Seabrook Island, SC on Saturday, June 7, 2014 (6765 yards, par 36-36—72, 73.1/144).
Stroke play qualifying medalist and Bluffton, SC native Brian Langley successfully advanced to the finals on the South Carolina Amateur Match Play Championship with a 1 up victory in the quarterfinals over Andrew Novak and a 2 & 1 victory over Jd Hoft in the semifinals.
Langley will square off against rising sophomore at Winthrop University Bradley Kauffman in the championship match. “This would be my biggest win of my career”, Kauffman remarked on potentially winning the 42nd SC Amateur Match Play Championship. Kauffman knocked off Furman golfer Bryce Howell in the quarterfinals and the 2-seed Alex Finke in the semifinals.

ABOUT THE South Carolina Amateur Match Play
Championship format is 36 holes of stroke play to
determine 32 qualifiers for
match play. The defending champion is seeded
number one
for match play if otherwise eligible.
Entry is open to any male amateur golfer who has
reached his 13th birthday, is a legal resident of
South Carolina, is a member in good
standing of a club which is a member of the
Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
and has an active GHIN® USGA Handicap Index® at
a CGA member club that
does not exceed 7.4.
