MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 28, 2014) - This past
weekend's
Zurich Classic champion relied on Project X
shafts to score
his first PGA TOUR career victory.
Despite severe winds that proved challenging
for the
majority of the field, the champion kept the
ball low and
found the fairways with Project X in his irons.
Prior to
Sunday, he had a bogey free 54-hole run that
was only
interrupted by Sunday's tough playing
conditions. The win
moves him to number 16 in the FedEx Cup
standings and
earned him a spot at The Players, the PGA
Championship
and
the 2015 Masters Championship.
"Congratulations to the young Zurich Classic
champion on
his
first PGA TOUR win," said Scott Hennessy,
president and
CEO of True Temper Sports. "Project X was
developed and
tested on the tour to perform just like it did on
Sunday.
When you have to contend with difficult and
changing
playing conditions, your equipment's reliability
and
performance becomes even more crucial. That
is why we
see
the best players in the world including 20 PGA
TOUR
champions in this season alone continue to
trust their
game
to shafts by True Temper."
The Zurich Classic winner completed the "hat
trick" over
the
weekend as shafts by True Temper also won
the WNB
Classic on the Web.com Tour and the Volvo
China Open on
the European Tour.
