Colorado Super Sr. Stroke Play: Dymerski leads
AURORA, Colo. (Sept. 23, 2013) -- Daniel Dymerski of Columbine Country Club parred his first nine holes Monday en route to a 1-over-par 73, which left him with a one-shot lead at the halfway point of the second annual CGA Super-Senior Stroke Play Championship at Murphy Creek Golf Course in Aurora.

Dymerski finished with two birdies and three bogeys on the day to set the standard in the tournament for players 60 and older.

Bob Cloud of Bear Creek Golf Club, who finished third in this event last year, shares second place with John Sostmann of Raccoon Creed Golf Course. Cloud and Sostmann made two birdies each on Monday.

Defending champion Jerry Kidney of Overland Golf Course struggled to an 84 in round 1.

In the 70-and-older division, 2012 winner Jim Collins of the Country Club at Castle Pines shot a 78 -- despite taking an 8 on the 15th hole -- and shares the lead with Joe Morrill of Eagle Ranch Golf Course.

Also breaking 80 was Ken Schweitzer of Eisenhower Golf Club,who carded a 79.

The final round for both age divisions will take place Tuesday.

36 holes of stroke play (no cut) at scratch. Separate divisions for those aged 64+ and 70+. Must be a CGA member.
