Nebraska Match Play: Lance Lawson medals

COLUMBUS, Neb. (June 24, 2013) -- Lance Lawson of Norfolk led the 126-man field in the stroke play qualifier of the 46th Nebraska Match Play Championship with a 4-under-par 67 at Elks Country Club on Monday.
Lawson posted one of eight subpar rounds on Monday and earns the No. 2 seed in the 64-player bracket. 2012 runner-up Nick Vondrak of Omaha is assigned the No. 1 seed. Sean Song, Zach Taylor and Greg Stanek each fired 69 in the stroke play qualifier, while Rylee Reinertson, Carson Schaake, Andy Sajevic and Kevin Gillick each carded 1-under-par 70.
Sixty-three players managed scores of 76 or better to earn spots in the bracket. The first round will start on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. A link to the bracket can be found above for the tournament, which concludes Friday.
