JUNE 1, 2015 - The Olympic
Club (Lake Course), San
Francisco, Calif.
The five-time U.S. Open host was setup in
tournament condition, with
greens rolling at 13 and players teeing off
from the championship
tees. That setup made medalist Michael
Miles's score even more
amazing. He was a full six shots lower than
Northern California
standout amateur Randy Haag, an Olympic
Club member. Another
Olympic Club member who was in the field,
George Kelley, told us that
"66 was an unbelievable score today — if the
actual U.S. Senior Open
was held here today, it would be leading."
