Northern Amateur: Henry Do tied with Nick Grubnich for lead
CHESTERTON, Ind. (July 24, 2014) -- Henry Do fired the low round of the tournament on Thursday at the Northern Amateur to tie for the lead with Nick Grubnich.
Do shot a seven-under 65 to follow up his first round 74, and has a piece of the lead at five-under 139.
His round was nearly perfect, as he spaced seven birdies out throughout his round along with no bogeys.
Grubnich had a tough time keeping the momentum from his first-round 67. He did birdie three holes in a row on the front nine, but gave them all back on his way in. Three bogeys on his final 10 holes earned him an even-par finish, tied with Do.
The leaderboard drops off after the top two, as the three player group tied for third are three strokes back at two-under 142.
