Dunes Medal: Bond maintains men's lead; 3 tied in women's
VICTORIA, Australia (Nov. 28, 2012) -- Tom Bond maintains his one-stroke lead after two rounds of play at the 2012 Dunes Medal at The Dunes Golf Links.
Bond was ahead by one shot after the first round of play and a second-round 71 kept him at the top of the field.
Bond is one shot ahead of Queensland's Aaron Wilkins, who sits alone in second place after firing rounds of 70-68--138.
Daniel McGraw, James McMillan, Jake Stirling and Brady Watt are all knotted in a tie for third place, sitting three behind the leader.
First-round leader Min Jee Lee is knotted in a three-way tie for first place in the women's division. Lee, who shot 70 in Round 1 is alongside Su-Hyun Oh and Dottie Ardina atop the leaderboard.
The Dunes Medal is an Open Amateur event played over 72 Holes on The Dunes Golf Links championship course.
Rounds 1 and 2 were played on Tuesday and Wednesday followed by a cut with the Top 40 players plus ties playing the final two rounds on Thursday and Friday along with all members of The National Squad.
