MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (July 31, 2012) -- Registration for the world's largest amateur golf tournament ends Tuesday, Aug. 7 and amateurgolf.com is bringing you a chance to get in on the action.

Register for the event using the special discount promo code 'amgolf' to receive a $75 discount off of the fee for four days of golf at Myrtle Beach-area courses and access to the World's Largest 19th Hole following each round.

The Golf.com World Amateur Handicap Championship, entering its 29th year, is a golf event like no other. Each year, 3,000 golfers from across the United Staes and 20 other countries come together in Myrtle Beach to determine one champion.

The World Am is open to all golfers – men, women, young and old – with a certified USGA handicap. It features six competitive divisions, ranging from men and women 49 and under to the super seniors (70+). Within the divisions, golfers are flighted by closely grouped handicaps. The event features between 60 and 70 flights and the winner of each advances to the Flight Winner’s Playoff, an 18-hole shootout that determines the World Champion.

The tournament is played on approximately 60 different Myrtle Beach area courses, including several Top 100 public layouts, and each flight plays a different course each day. Championship flights will be played at TPC Myrtle Beach.
