Austin Open: Marini wins, Ellis low amateur

AUSTIN, Texas (June 3, 2012) -- Brian Marini came from four strokes back to win the Austin Open at Greyrock Golf Club. Marini carded the low round of the day, a 3-under 69 to match his opening round of 71 for a 140 total and a two stroke victory over Scott Roudebush (71-71--142).

Dylan Davis was third wth rounds of 71-72--143.

Amateur Alex Ellis led after the first round with a brilliant 67, carding 6 birdies to one bogey. But a final round 77 left him at 144, even par for the tournament, and alone in fourth place.

Amateur Eduardo Perez tied for 7th place (74-72--146) and amateurs Wesley Goodlett (77-71--148) and Steffan Schieding (74-74--148) tied for 11th place.
