Hewlett Harbor, NY (May 5, 2012) -- Edward Gibstein of Engineers CC won his 4th Richardson Invitational Championship on Saturday, May 5th at the Seawane Club in Hewlett Harbor by defeating Hal Berman of Middle Bay CC by 2 up. In the Senior Masters Division, Tom Trakoval of Pt. Jefferson CC defeated Tom Fox of the Apawamis Club 4 & 3 in the final match. The Richardson is the traditional start of the competitive amateur golf season in the metropolitan area, and is named after the late William D. Richardson, the noted New York Times golf writer
