Glenn Smeraglio of Newtown, PA shot an even par 70 to lead the Open division at the 2011 Crump Cup to lead by one shot

PINE VALLEY, NJ (Sept. 29) – Glenn Smeraglio of Newtown, PA shot an even par 70 to lead the Open division by one shot over Roger Newsom of Virginia Beach, VA and Arnie Cutrell of Greensburg, PA. Tomorrow the eighty one player field will complete the 36 hole stroke play qualifying into three flights of sixteen. Alan Fadel of Toledo, OH holds the lead in the senior division with a score of 70. Former senior division champion Pat Tallent of Vienna, VA and Marty West of Rockville, MD are one shot back. Thirty seven senior players are competing for three flights of eight. Four players failed to finish their rounds because of darkness following a two hour lightning delay.
