Christovich shot even-par 72 and leads by a shot entering Round 2 with 18 players within 3 shots of the lead

JUNO BEACH, Fla. (April 24, 2014) -- Patrick Christovich shot an even-par 72 and leads all players in the Mid-Amateur Division of the 2014 George L. Coleman Amateur Invitational at famed Seminole Golf Club. Christovich, from Louisiana, holds a one-shot lead over a large group of players entering the second of three rounds at one of the premier mid-amateur and senior invitationals of the season. Trailing Christovich with 1-over 73s were: 2013 runner-up Skip Berkmeyer and 2013 champion Mike McCoy, Kevin Grabeman, R.J. Nakashian, Stephen Anderson, Scott Harvey, Kris Mikkelsen and John Sawin. The group is among 18 players within just three shots of the lead entering what should undoubtedly be a wild Round 2. Other notable scores from first-round action included: Kevin Marsh, Nick Gilliam, Gene Elliot and Randy Haag, who all shot 76 and are tied for 19th place. The George L. Coleman Invitational is one of the year's top events. Played at the Donald Ross-designed Seminole Golf Club, the Coleman features a loaded field featuring many of the world's top mid-amateurs and seniors.
