Seminole Golf Club is considered by some to be the best course ever designed by Donald Ross, and is certainly one of the very best courses in the entire southeast U.S. The genius of the course is in the routing, which brilliantly utilizes a pair of dune ridges that sit beside the Atlantic Ocean, and in the greens, which are subtly contoured and very fast. This combined with the ever-present wind allows Seminole to hold up well against the best amateur players at the Coleman Invitational.
