Team Titleist: Jones, Crespi win with Titleist

There was no shortage of excitement this weekend across the worldwide professional tours as a pair of first-time winners were crowned. After authoring a stellar final round performance, Titleist Brand Ambassador Matt Jones prevailed in a sudden-death playoff at the Shell Houston Open and earned his first career PGA Tour victory.

And on the European Tour, Pro V1x loyalist Marco Crespi fired a 3-under 69 in the final round of the NH Collection Open to secure his first career title.With two more wins this week, Titleist’s year-to-date victory count advances to 36 – more than four times the nearest competitor with 7 and more than all competitors combined. To date, 5,327 players have trusted a Titleist golf ball across the worldwide professional tours in 2014, more than six times the nearest competitor with 816 and more than all other competitors combined.

PGA TOUR: Shell Houston Open

Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the Shell Houston Open with 91 players in the field of 144 trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than four times the nearest competitor with 19.

Matt Jones, began the day six shots off the lead, but closed with a 6-under par 66, which included a 46-foot, double-breaking putt for birdie on the final hole of regulation. He finished with a 15-under 273 total to earn a spot in the two-man playoff. Jones prevailed in the first hole of the playoff after holing out his for birdie from 40-yards away.

Jones’ fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Cameron Tringale (Pro V1x, 913D3 driver, 913Fd fairway metal, 913H hybrid, MB 714 irons, Vokey Design Spin Milled pitching, sand and lob wedges, Scotty Cameron GSS putter) finished solo fourth, three shots out of the playoff, while Pro V1x golf ball loyalists Shawn Stefani and Rickie Fowler finished solo 5th and 6th, respectively.

EUROPEAN PGA TOUR: NH Collection Open

Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the NH Collection Open with 103 players in the field of 144 trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than five times the nearest competitor with 19.

Titleist Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Marco Crespi earned his first career European Tour at the NH Collection Open in Spain. Crespi posted a 10-under 278 victory total, two shots clear of his nearest competitors.

“I started very well today,” Crespi said after the victory. “I birdied the first and that gave me the confidence to go low. I just had to manage my pressure on the back nine.”

Crespi is a two-time Challenge Tour winner and finished fourth at the South African Open earlier this season.

The win is the seventh for Titleist golf ball loyalists on the European Tour this season, more than three times the nearest competitor with 2.

Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the Kraft Nabisco Championship with 76 players in the field of 111 relying upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than eight times the nearest competitor with 9.

Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the Telkom PGA Championship with 115 players in the field of 156 relying upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than four times the nearest competitor with 26.

Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the Mundo Maya Open with 112 players in the field of 144 relying upon a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, seven times the nearest competitor with 16.
