Six regionals are currently underway, with 72 teams vying for 30 spots in the NCAA Division I women's championship from May 17 to May 22 in Carlsbad, California, at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. The University of Texas will be playing host.
Six 54-hole regional competitions will be played in regional play to determine the participants in the championship finals. In each regional, 12 teams and six individuals not on those teams will compete.
The low five teams and the individual not on those teams will advance to the finals. Beginning in 2024, the team champions will receive regional champion awards.

Auburn regional site
Auburn University Club, Auburn, Ala.
Through 18 holes, Auburn is successfully defending its home course. They are three shots clear of South Carolina and holding the solo lead. North Carolina and Miami will look to make a push for the fifth spot. They're two and seven shots back of the three schools currently tied at T3 and holding onto the last three spots in the NCAA field.
In the individual competition, Megan Schofill of Auburn and Louise Rydqvist of South Carolina are tied at the top of the leaderboard at 3-under. Sophie Bert of East Tennessee State and Megan Streicher of North Carolina are T3 at 1-under. 19 golfers are within five shots of the lead.

Bermuda Run regional site

ACC champion and 2023 National Champion Wake Forest is out in front after day one, but the Tennessee Volunteers are close behind after shooting a first-round 10-under 278. Ole Miss and Mississippi State will look to chase the leaders, while Texas and Oregon State look to battle it out for the fifth and final team position.
In the individual competition, Bailey Davis of Tennessee put together an incredible bogey-free 8-under 64 to lead by eight shots, recording six birdies and an eagle. 2023 ACC individual medalist Rachel Kuehn of Wake Forest continues her solid play and is in solo second place at 5-under. Christin Eisenbeiss of North Florida is in solo third place at 4-under.

Bryan regional site

Two LSU standouts are tied with Mackenzie Lee of SMU at 4-under after the first round. Latanna Stone and Ingrid Lindblad are also tied for the lead and leading the No. 1 seeded Tigers. SMU and LSU are tied for the lead, while Texas A&M is in solo third place and just one shot out of the lead. Clemson, Iowa State and Ohio State are battling it out for the final spots in the NCAA championship field.
Kary Hollenbaugh of Ohio State is in solo fourth place and Adela Cernousek of Texas A&M is in solo fifth place. Lindblad is ranked No. 1 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings. This regional has faced very tough conditions with weather, making the course conditions difficult to navigate.

Las Vegas regional site

Kajal Mistry of Arkansas and Lottie Woad of Florida State are leading their respective teams through the first round. Mistry is 6-under and Woad is 5-under after the first 18 holes. Arkansas is in first place and leads Florida State by three shots. Purdue, UCLA and Baylor are in the three through five spots, with Arizona and Oklahoma are one shot of the outside looking in.
Maria Jose Marin of Arkansas is in solo third place and Alice Hodge of Florida State and Kate Villegas of UCLA are T4. Woad continues her great play after winning the 2024 Augusta National Women's Amateur and making the cut in her PGA Tour debut.

USC shot 7-under to take a two shot lead over Pepperdine heading into the second round. Northwestern and Florida are in solo third place and solo fourth place and Denver, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, and Kentucky are all battling for the final qualifying spot.
Bailey Shoemaker of USC leads after a first round 7-under 65, while Lion Higo of Pepperdine is in solo second place at 5-under. Shoemaker and Higo are in the same group for the first two rounds. Lauren Beaudreau of Notre Dame is in solo third place at 4-under and eight golfers are T4 at 2-under, including Pac-12 individual champion Catherine Park of USC.

Duke shot a first-round 6-under 282 to take a two-shot lead over No. 1 seed Stanford, who shot 4-under 284. Pac-12 team champion Arizona State is in solo third place at even par, and Virginia is in solo fourth place at 1-over.
In the individual competition, Anne Chen of Duke is in solo first place at 5-under 67, even after making a double-bogey on No. 16. Paula Martin Sampredro of Stanford and Lily Hirst of Kansas are one shot back of Chen at 4-under. Celeste Valinho of Virginia is in solo fourth place, while five golfers are T5 heading into the second round.
