Refer a friend to amateurgolf.com and the 2013 Monterey Bay Championship and we'll take care of your entry fee!
Our original tournament, the Monterey Bay Championship will be played for the 13th time May 25-26 at the fabulous Bayonet Black Horse 36-hole resort. We've lowered the entry fee by $10 from last year, and want to get a full field to showcase one of our favorite venues.
So, for this tournament only (THROUGH MAY 5, 2013)any player who brings a first-time amateurgolf.com Tour contestant will play for free. It's fun to travel with a friend --- especially to Monterey. Whether they have tournament experience or not, we hope that becoming part of our organization will broaden your friend's golf horizons, and that they will want to come back. It's an investment in our future.
To take advantage of this offer, simply follow the instructions at the bottom of this email to provide your friend a special 30-day "trial offer" code so he or she can sign up without having to pay the amateurgolf.com membership fee. Please have your them provide your name in the "notes" field and we will either enter you into the event (free) if you aren't already in the field, or we'll credit your entry fee if you've already paid. To be sure you get credit, you can email us the names of any players you have referred at tournaments@amateurgolf.com.
And we don't want the website to get in the way -- if you just want to pass on our number we can still take an entry the old fashioned way. 760-929-9297.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE...
Any player that brings three or more new players will be upgraded to a comp lifetime membership on amateurgolf.com --- a $295 value!
ANY CATCHES?
Just one. You must be a current member of amateurgolf.com to qualify for the complimentary tournament entry. If you're not sure of your status, just visit the site and log in. If you need to renew, it's the perfect time to select "Premium Plus" for $95 and get a free set of Lamkin grips plus a one-year subscription to Golfweek on top of your amateurgolf.com membership.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Provide your friend with these credentials to get them rolling. Of course, if you want to just tell them to register for a standard or "Premium Plus" membership and join our site, we are OK with that too. All they have to do is mention your name in the notes field.
