On the weekend of August 7th and 8th, visit Berkeley's scenic and challenging Tilden Park G.C. and get a chance to put your name on the perpetual trophy
BERKELEY, California (July 29, 2010) -- We're less than two weeks away from the 2010 Bay Regional, a historic amateur golf tournament that is now in its 72nd year!
This historic event has a Past Champions list that reads like a who's who of California golf. And one year boxer Joe Louis competed in the tournament. In addition to being a 100 point NCGA event for the Championship Division, the Bay Regional is also now an NCGA Senior Points event at the 50 point level, and we are building a Women's Championship Division. (There are expected to be at least 12 women competing as we had last year.)
The backbone of the event has always been the Net Division, and we hope those of you with handicaps of 5.5 to 28.0 will consider taking part in the tournament.
With 60 or more players, we expect a prize fund over $2500 with distribution based on number of contestants in each division.
Tilden Park "regulars" can fill out the local player registration form, saving $20 on the entry fee and NOT requiring membership with amateurgolf.com, who runs the tournament. The Tilden Park Men's or Women's Club local player entry fee is just $165 including greens fees. All other players should visit www.amateurgolf.com/tour to register.
To download the "print and fax" entry form, click on the link below, or if you are already a member of amateurgolf.com you may go to www.amateurgolf.com/tour and register online.
