Lee Enzo put on a clinic in consistency, carding rounds of 69-69-70 to finish at 6-under par and win the 90th Pasadena City Men’s Golf Championship by two shots at Brookside Golf Club.

In a championship that often produces dramatic finishes—like last year’s four-hole playoff—Enzo took a different route to victory. He methodically built his lead over three days, avoiding big mistakes and capitalizing on scoring chances to pull away from a tightly packed leaderboard.

Enzo never strayed far from the top of the leaderboard, and by Sunday, his steady play proved decisive. While others made runs, none could match his balance of precision and patience.

Tom Yu finished solo second at 4-under par with three rounds of 70, staying within striking distance all week but unable to close the gap. Grant Leary secured third at 3-under, highlighted by a second-round 67 that briefly put him in contention.

Trey Tuyo finished fourth at 2-under, while a trio of players—Lance Lafko, Tongun Lako LoSarah, and Chris Meyers—shared fifth at 1-under.

Course Conditions Shine After Recovery Effort

This year’s championship carried added significance as Brookside Golf Course continued its recovery from the Eaton Fire in early 2025.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the superintendent and maintenance staff, the course was presented in excellent condition. Firm fairways, smooth greens, and a polished overall setup drew praise from competitors throughout the week.

The result was a championship venue that not only met expectations—but exceeded them.

Ideal Weather Sets the Tone

Players were greeted with nearly perfect conditions across all three rounds. Mild temperatures and minimal wind allowed for aggressive play, putting an emphasis on execution.
