Championship Saturday at TPC Harding Park delivered a full day of defining moments across the women’s divisions at the San Francisco City Championship.
Semifinals are now complete, finals are set, and just one round remains before champions are crowned on Sunday.
The top seed continues to deliver.
Staci Pla (1) advanced to the championship match with a decisive 4 & 3 semifinal victory over Irene Hur (5), continuing a dominant run that began with medalist honors at Lincoln Park.
On the opposite side of the bracket, Gianna Singh (11) continued her standout week, defeating Grace Gao (2) 1 up to earn her place in the final.
The result sets up a compelling championship match between the top seed and one of the tournament’s biggest breakout performers, with Pla seeking to complete a wire-to-wire victory and Singh looking to cap an upset-filled run.
The Inkster Division has produced one of the most competitive brackets of the week, and its final is now set.
Claire Zhong (5) advanced with a strong 3 & 1 semifinal victory over Hannah Sangha (9), while Alexis Chu (14) moved through her side of the bracket to reach the championship match.
Both players navigated deep and balanced fields, and Sunday’s final will crown a champion from one of the tournament’s most competitive divisions.
The Women’s Senior Championship has also reached its final stage, with two experienced players emerging from Saturday’s semifinals.
Top seed Xiaolong Zhong (1) earned her spot in the final with a 1-up victory, while Lynne Cowan (3) advanced after a convincing 4 & 3 semifinal win.
With just one match remaining, the Senior division is now down to its final pairing, where composure and match-play experience will be decisive.
After two weeks of qualifying and match play, the women’s divisions have reached their final stage at Harding Park.
