Joey Hayden, Gianna Singh, Bob Niger, and Jeff Thomas capped championship week with title-winning performances at Harding Park.
The San Francisco City Championship concluded Sunday at TPC Harding Park, with titles decided across every division after a full slate of championship matches.
From breakthrough performances to dramatic finishes, the final day delivered everything expected from one of amateur golf’s most historic events.
Joey Hayden (21) completed one of the most impressive runs of the championship, defeating Will Hardy (26) 3&2 in the 36-hole final.
Hayden built momentum early and maintained control throughout the match, continuing his upset-filled path that included victories over top seed Alexander Thu and other contenders.
His victory highlights the unpredictable nature of match play, as a No. 21 seed navigated one of the deepest fields in amateur golf to claim the title.
Gianna Singh (11) delivered a statement performance, defeating medalist Staci Pla (1) 4&3 in the final.
Singh controlled the match early and never allowed Pla to recover, capping a breakout week that included a semifinal win over Grace Gao (2).
The victory marks one of the biggest runs of the championship, as Singh turned a double-digit seed into a title-winning performance.
Ryan Grauman (9) claimed the Venturi Flight championship, defeating Matthew Almajano (15) in the final.
Grauman controlled the match down the stretch, completing a consistent run through a highly competitive secondary bracket.
In the Men’s Senior division, Bob Niger (6) defeated Todd Doss (13) 3&2 to claim the title after taking control in the middle stretch of the match.
The Super Senior final delivered one of the most dramatic finishes of the week, as Jeff Thomas (4) defeated Dean Prince (10) 1 up through 19 holes.
Thomas secured the victory in extra holes after the match finished all square through regulation.
From Hayden’s unlikely run in the Men’s Championship to Singh’s breakthrough victory and multiple tightly contested senior finals, the 2026 San Francisco City Championship delivered a full spectrum of match-play moments.
At Harding Park, the formula remains the same: survive, adapt, and close. This year’s champions did exactly that.
Across every division, the City once again proved why it remains one of the most respected and unpredictable championships in amateur golf.
