The final round of the 49th Boys & Girls Junior PGA Championships at Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex crowned two deserving champions after four days of elite junior golf. Asterisk Talley and Lunden Esterline each held off strong challenges to capture titles and secure spots on the 2025 U.S. Junior Ryder Cup Team.

Asterisk Talley (Chowchilla, CA) delivered a steady closing round of 71 (E) to finish at -12 (273) and claim the Girls Division title by one shot over Zoe Cusack (Potomac, MD), who posted a final-round 70 (-1) to reach -11 (274).

Late charges from Anna Fang, Cienna Lee, and Ying Xu created a three-way tie for third at -9 (276), but Talley's composure on the final two holes sealed her first Junior PGA victory.

Lunden Esterline (Andover, KS), a 2027 Auburn University commit, capped off a dominant week with a final-round 71 (E) to finish at -19 (266) and win the Boys Division title by six strokes. Esterline’s victory adds to an impressive resume that includes multiple AJGA and Minnesota PGA wins, highlighted by his course-record-tying 62 in Round 2.

Giuseppe Puebla (Royal Palm Beach, FL) surged with a **64 (-7)** to tie for second at **-13 (272)** alongside **Tyler Mawhinney** (Fleming Island, FL). Four players, including **Ayden Fynaut**, **Zenghao Hou**, and **Pennson Badgett**, shared fourth place at **-12 (273)**, while Charlie Woods closed in **T9 (-9)** after a 74.

The 49th Boys & Girls Junior PGA Championships tee off tomorrow at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Indiana. Hosted over four days from July 29 to August 1, 2025, the event features 72 holes of stroke play competition across two championship-caliber courses: Ackerman-Allen and Kampen-Cosler.

Open to elite juniors 18 and under who qualified through PGA Section Championships or earned exemptions, the field represents the very best in junior golf. A 36-hole cut to the top 60 and ties, followed by a 54-hole cut to the top 30 and ties, sets the stage for a dramatic finish.

With its deep competitive history, professional-quality course setup, and intense national spotlight, the Junior PGA Championship is one of the premier showcases of emerging golf talent.

Since its inception in 1976, the Junior PGA Championship has produced some of the most iconic names in golf. Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, Lexi Thompson, and Akshay Bhatia all sharpened their competitive edge here.
