Due to inclement weather, the Norman and Lubbock regionals have already been completed

Six regionals are currently underway from May 5 to May 7, with 72 teams vying for 30 spots in the NCAA Division I women's championship, which will be held from May 16 to May 21 in Carlsbad, California, at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. The University of Texas will be playing host, and the final three days of the championships will be televised live by the GOLF Channel.  

Six 54-hole regional competitions will be played in regional play to determine the participants in the championship finals. In each regional, 12 teams and six individuals not on those teams will compete.

The top five teams and the individual not on those teams will advance to the finals. Beginning in 2024, the team champions will receive regional champion awards. 

Day one results

Charlottesville Regional
Birdwood Golf Course, Charlottesville, Va.

Heading into the final round, South Carolina is the only team under par at 5-under, holding a six-shot lead. The Gamecocks have carded impressive rounds of 277-286 to secure the comfortable lead with 18 holes remaining. UCLA is in solo second place at 1-over, and Florida is in solo third place at 3-over. Ole Miss and Virginia are currently in the fourth and fifth spots.

In the individual competition, Paula Francisco of Florida is at 5-under and holds a one-shot lead over Louise Rydqvist of South Carolina and Angela Liu of UCLA, who are T2 at 4-under. Marie Madsen of NC State is in solo fourth place at 3-under.

Columbus Regional
OSU Golf Club, Columbus, Ohio

The Columbus regional is tight at the top of the leaderboard with 18 holes remaining, as Arkansas is in solo first place at 4-over, UNLV is in solo second place at 5-over, and Kansas and host Ohio State are T3 at 6-over. SMU is in solo fifth place at 16-over.

In the individual competition, Lyla Louderbaugh of Kansas leads Kendall Todd of Arkansas and Emily Odwin of SMU by two shots. Louderbaugh is 5-under through 36 holes, while Odwin and Todd are T2 and 3-under.

Gold Canyon Regional
Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club, Gold Canyon, Ariz.

Oregon took the team lead behind a team second round of 6-under 282 to take a four-shot lead at 5-under total. Oklahoma State is in solo second place at 1-under and Arizona State is in solo third place at even par. Mississippi State is in solo fourht place at 9-over and Auburn is in solo fifth place at 18-over.

In the individual competition, all eyes were on Kiara Romero of Oregon. The 2023 U.S. Girls' Junior champion shot a second round of 10-under 62 with eleven birdies to propel up the leaderboard and take a four shot lead into the final round. The 62 was the lowest round in Oregon's program history. Patience Rhodes of Arizona State is in solo second place at 8-under and Marta Silchenko of Oklahoma State and Davina Xanh of CSU Fullerton are T3 at 3-under.

Lexington Regional
Keene Trace Golf Club, Lexington, Ky.

This regional has been dominated by 2024 ACC champions Florida State, as the Seminoles lead the team competition by nine shots at 14-under and Mirabel Ting and Lottie Woad are in first and second place in the individual competition at 8-under and 7-under, respectively. 

2025 Augusta National Women's Amateur champion Carla Bernat is in solo third place at 6-under.

Lubbock Regional
The Rawls Course, Lubbock, Tex.

Due to inclement weather, The Lubbock regional started on Sunday and ended Tuesday, with Wake Forest completing the team and individual sweep. The Deacons went wire-to-wire and finished four strokes ahead of No. 1 seed Texas.

According to Wake Forest Athletics, This marks the 10th straight NCAA Championship appearance for the Demon Deacons which included capturing the program's first national championship in 2023.

Wake Forest Senior Carolina Chacarra earned her fourth individual title at 7-under. Farah O'Keefe of Texas finished in solo second place at 4-under and Chloe Kovelesky finished in solo third place at 2-under.

Norman Regional
Oklahoma Jimmie Austin Golf Club, Norman, Okla.

Due to incoming inclement weather, teams in the Norman regional played 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday, with Stanford coming out on top and winning its seventh NCAA Regional win since 2016. Andrea Revuelta of Stanford won her second tournament in a row to claim individual medalist honors.
