USC takes Battle for the Bell over UCLA for the first time

Catherine Park, Kylie Chong, and Bailey Shoemaker won their respective matches to propel the Trojans to the win
The USC women’s golf team earned its first win in the Battle for the Bell. The Trojans posted three individual match victories to take down UCLA 3.5 to 1.5 at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.
Junior Catherine Park, freshman Kylie Chong, and sophomore Bailey Shoemaker all earned victories as USC took down the Bruins for the second time this season.
Park is currently ranked No. 3 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings.
The Trojans previously faced UCLA during the East Lake Cup semifinals in October, winning 3 to 2. Chong and Park are now 2-0 against the Bruins this season.
This is the third annual Battle for the Bell matchup with UCLA winning the two other matchups. According to USC Athletics, The Trojans are 3-0 in match-play events this year, with wins over UCLA (twice) and LSU.
