The host school Notre Dame secures its second team win in three weeks while Sebastian Moss of Louisville won the individual title

The Notre Dame men’s golf team delivered a commanding performance at the Fighting Irish Classic, securing a dominant 11-stroke victory at their home course, the Warren Golf Course in Indiana.

With a final team score of 5-under 835, following rounds of 287-275-273, the Fighting Irish not only defended their turf but also claimed their second title in three weeks, following their win at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational in Ontario.

Notre Dame entered the final round with a narrow one-shot lead after a solid 5-under 275 on day two and only got stronger from there. The team posted a tournament-best 7-under 273 in the final round, pulling away from the field with precision.

Their stellar team effort stretched the lead to eleven shots, a comfortable margin that underscored their control over the competition.

Purdue finished a distant second at 6-over 846, unable to match Notre Dame’s pace. Louisville took third at 7-over 847.

The individual title featured an exciting showdown, with Louisville senior Sebastian Moss emerging victorious at 5-under 205 with rounds of 70-67-68. Moss began the final round trailing Little Rock’s Matteo Cristoni by two strokes, but his steady and composed final round of 68 proved decisive.

Cristoni, who had led after 36 holes with rounds of 67-68, couldn’t hold on, posting a 71 on the final day to finish one shot back at 4-under 206.

Strong individual performances complemented Notre Dame’s team success. Sophomore Rocco Salvitti finished tied for third at 3-under 207 (70-69-68), capping off his week with a flawless final round. Junior Nate Stevens delivered a clutch performance on the final day as well, shooting a 4-under 66 to finish tied for fifth at 2-under 210 (72-70-66). Sophomore Jacob Modleski also had a strong showing, narrowly missing the top 10 with an 11th-place finish at even-par 210 (71-69-70).
