As Lincoln Park comes back as the traditional second venue, we've adjusted the schedule for more efficient play
The 2025 San Francisco City Championship is here, with a few exciting changes to make participation more streamlined. Hosted by TPC Harding Park and Lincoln Park, two fantastic San Francisco staples, players are in for a treat and elite competition. Lincoln Park, a former host of the SF City, returns to the rotation with players getting spectacular views overlooking the Bay Bridge.

Contrary to popular belief, players do not need to be a resident to participate. Along with the change in golf course, the other major change is the continuous rounds scheduled for the senior division. This makes it more sensible for seniors from out of state to compete creating a tremendous opportunity to play a match-play event with senior and super senior divisions. No more days off between matches.
The SF City is a one-time entry fee. It covers all tournament rounds for as far as you’re able to advance. With exception to the pre-qualifier, which if you advance you only pay the difference in fees to move on.
Membership with AmateurGolf.com gets you a $100 lower entry fee than non-member registration, so for members of AmateurGolf.com, now is a good time to make sure your membership is up to date. For others, it is a chance to join the largest community of amateur golfers anywhere, while gaining access to a world of tournament and player information.
Here’s what you can expect based on the division you’d participate in.
Men's Championship – 156 players in the qualifying round with 64 players advancing to match play. Hosted at both TPC Harding Park & Lincoln Park Golf Course.
50 spots will be reserved for Exempt Players. Once the field limit of 120 (including spots held for Exempt Players) is reached, all additional registrants will be entered into the Pre-Qualifier.
March 8-9 – Stroke Play qualifying (36 holes, 18 holes at each venue)March 7 – Lincoln Park Golf Course

Open Division - Qualifying consists of one 18-hole stroke play round. The lowest 16 scorers will be seeded accordingly in the Championship Flight. Contestants with the 17th through 32nd lowest scores will be seeded accordingly in the Juli Inkster Flight.
For the Senior division, participants must have an age of 50 or older as of the first day of the tournament. Qualifying will consist of one 18- hole stroke play round, from which the low 8 scores will advance to the Women’s Senior Championship Flight.
Mar 14-16 – Stroke play qualifying and initial rounds of match play. Hosted at both venues.
Mar 22-23 - Semifinals and finals: TPC Harding Park
*NEW* Condensed schedule. Open to the first 84 entries received. Participants must have an index of 9.4 or lower as of the date of entry and must be 55 or older as of the first day of the tournament. Played exclusively at TPC Harding Park.
Mar 18 - Stroke play qualifying, TPC Harding Park
Mar 19-23 - Match play, TPC Harding Park
Men's Super Senior Championship
Open to the first 48 entries received. Participants must have an index of 9.4 or lower as of the date of entry and must have an age of 65 or older as of the first day of the tournament. Played exclusively at TPC Harding Park.
Mar 19 - Stroke play qualifying, TPC Harding Park
Mar 20-23 - Match play, TPC Harding Park
Open (Non-Championship) Flights
Open to the first 128 entries received. No index is required. The qualifying scores will be used to assign 8 flights of 16 players each, as well as the seeding for match play.
