Six regionals are currently underway, with 72 teams vying for 30 spots in the NCAA Division I women's championship from May 17 to May 22 in Carlsbad, California, at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. The University of Texas will be playing host.
Six 54-hole regional competitions will be played in regional play to determine the participants in the championship finals. In each regional, 12 teams and six individuals not on those teams will compete.
The low five teams and the individual not on those teams will advance to the finals. Beginning in 2024, the team champions will receive regional champion awards.

Auburn regional site
Auburn University Club, Auburn, Ala.
Auburn has taken a commanding lead in its home site, taking a 14-shot lead into the final round after a second round of 1-under 287. It was the best second round by five shots. Houston and North Carolina have taken over the second and third spots, and it could be a thrilling finish for the final two spots, with four teams within three shots of each other. No. 1 seed South Carolina is currently on the outside looking in and will need a good final round to qualify.
Moa Svedenskiold of Houston has taken the individual lead at 3-under. Auburn star freshman and 2022 ANWA winner Anna Davis and her teammate Megan Schofill are T2 at 2-under, and Louise Rydqvist of South Carolina and Kayla Smith of North Carolina are in solo fourth and fifth place at 1-under and even par, respectively.

2024 ACC champion Wake Forest, led by 2024 ACC individual champion Rachel Kuehn, holds a six-shot lead heading into the final round at 18-under. Texas and Ole Miss are T2, chasing Wake Forest at 12-under, six shots back. Mississippi State is 5-under, and Tennessee is 4-under.
Bailey Davis of Tennessee leads Kuehn by one shot at 10-under, while Kuehn is at 9-under. Caitlyn Macnab of Ole Miss is in solo third place at 7-under, and Surapa Janthamunee of Mississippi State is in solo fourth place at 6-under.

After being tied with LSU following the first-round lead, SMU took the solo second-round lead at 6-under, leading Clemson by two shots, who are 4-under. Texas A&M and LSU are T3 while Ohio State is in solo fifth place. Clemson shot 7-under, while SMU shot 4-under.
Ingrid Lindblad of LSU has shot back-to-back rounds of 4-under 68 to get to 8-under and hold a one-shot lead with 18 holes remaining. Annabelle Pancake of Clemson is in solo second place, Adela Cernousek of Texas A&M is in solo third place and Mackenzie Lee of SMU and Virginie Ding of Vanderbilt are T4.

Arkansas and Purdue both shot rounds of 8-under 280 to pull away from the rest of the field by double-digit shots. Arkansas is 16-under and Purdue is 12-under. UCLA, Florida State and Baylor round out the rest of the top five.
Lottie Woad of Florida State has taken the individual lead at 10-under with Kajal Mistry of Arkansas only one shot behind at 9-under. Zoe Campos of UCLA is in solo third place at 7-under. Kendall Todd and Maria Jose Marin of Arkansas are T4 at 5-under.
Woad continues her great play after winning the 2024 Augusta National Women's Amateur and making the cut in her PGA Tour debut.

USC is in solo first place at 6-under heading into the final-round, while Northwestern is in solo second place at 4-under. Pepperdine is in solo third place and Michigan State is in solo fourth place. Michigan State was the only team to shoot under par as at team in the second-round.
In the individual competition, Bailey Shoemaker of USC is still in the lead, sitting at 8-under and holding a one-shot lead over Lauren Beadreau of Notre Dame. No other golfers are within four shots of the lead with 18 holes remaining.

Cle Elum regional site

Stanford had an incredible second-round 14-under 274 to fly up the leaderboard and take a commanding lead of twelve shots into the final round. Duke shot an even par round after holding the first round lead, and Virginia is in solo third place but are 27 shots out of the lead. Long Beach State, San Jose State, Kansas and Washington are all vying for the fifth and final qualifying spot.
In the individual competition, Paula Martin Sampedro of Stanford is 8-under and one shot better than her teammate, Rachel Heck. Heck of Stanford tied the women's course record of 65, set at the 2019 NCAA Regionals by Brooke Riley of Northwestern. Kelly Xu of Stanford rounds out the all Stanford top three at 5-under.
