Lake finished 11-under to win the individual competition, while Oregon State won by 19 shots as a team

Jackson Lake and Oregon State won the 2024 SU Invite at Chambers Bay at Chambers Bay Golf Club in University Place, Wash.

Lake shot rounds of 65-68-69 to go wire-to-wire to win. Johannes Hounsgaard of Idaho finished in solo second place at 10-under with rounds of 72-63-68.

Through the front nine of the final round, Lake held a five-shot lead, but a 1-over back nine gave Hounsgaard a chance to make a comeback. Hounsgaard shot 3-under on his back nine but came up short in his comeback attempt, and Lake won by one shot.

Lake is a friend of AmateurGolf.com, winning the 2019 Silicon Valley Amateur. This is his first top-15 finish since the 2023 Cal Poly Invitational, where he finished T15. Lake is currently ranked No. 208 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com U.S. Rankings.
