Six of the top 10, including No. 1 Gordon Sargent of Vanderbilt and No. 3 David Ford (UNC) are in the field. Floridian Natl hosts.

The 2024 Valspar Collegiate Invitational is back at the beautiful Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Fla., from March 25 to March 26.

In the 54-hole event, the field will begin play with 36 holes on Monday, March 25, with a shotgun start and will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday, March 26, with a shotgun start.

The 16-team field includes 14 other teams ranked in the top 65 in the country, including top-ranked North Carolina, and five teams in the top ten. North Carolina will look to defend its title from last season.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Six of the top 10 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings are in the field this week. The No. 1 ranked player, Gordon Sargent of Vanderbilt, highlights the field while No. 3 David Ford of North Carolina, No. 6 Luke Clanton of Florida State, No. 7 Dylan Menante of North Carolina, No. 9 Maxwell Moldovan of Ohio State, and No. 10 Wenyi Ding of Arizona State are all teeing it up.

No. 11 Preston Summerhays of Arizona State, No. 12 Christiaan Maas of Texas, No. 17 Cole Sherwood of Vanderbilt, No. 18 Neal Shipley of Ohio State, and No. 20 Austin Greaser of North Carolina are also in the stacked field.

HISTORY

The Valspar Collegiate is a 54-hole collegiate invitational hosted at The Floridian. Team (best four scores out of five players each round) and individual competitions. Began in 2014 and is already one of the elite college events on the schedule.

COURSE

The Floridian, designed by Gary Player in 1996, was the private course of Wayne Huizenga and was recently sold to Jim Crane. The course has been redesigned by Tom Fazio, with a re- opening in November of 2011. Butch Harmon has signed on to build a Harmon Golf School at the Floridian.
