Florida State leads by one heading into the final round of the 2024 Seminole Intercollegiate at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla.
The Seminoles lead Ole Miss by one shot, with Ole Miss sitting in solo second place at 10-under.
Both Florida State and Ole Miss shot 12-under 276 in the second round to pull away from the field.
VCU is in solo third place at 3-under, and Arkansas is in solo fourth place at even par. Indiana is in solo fifth place at 14-over, and High Point is in solo sixth place at 15-over.
Last year, Florida State finished 14-under to win the Seminole Intercollegiate, 38 shots better than second-place North Alabama.
In the individual competition, Luke Clanton of Florida State leads the field by two shots at 9-under. Clanton shot a first-round 2-under 70 and followed it up with a blistering 7-under 65 in the second round, where he recorded six birdies, an eagle, and just one bogey.
Jacob Skov Olesen of Arkansas and Tyler Weaver of Florida State are two shots back of Clanton and T2 at 7-under.
Michael La Sasso of Ole Miss is in solo fourth place at 6-under. Cameron Tankersley of Ole Miss and Drew Wilson of Mississippi State are T5 at 4-under. La Sasso shot a second round 8-under 64, a tournament best thus far.
Clanton finished T2 at this tournament last year behind teammate Gray Albright. He also won the 2023 NCAA Division I West Regional, made the round of 32 at the North & South Amateur, and made the round of 64 at the U.S. Amateur. In 2024, he finished T11 at the Jones Cup, T8 at the Amer Ari Invitational, and T7 at the Watersound Invitational.
He is currently ranked No. 7 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings and is the highest-ranked player in the field.
