The Prestige: Texas Tech extends its lead heading into the final round

Cecil Belisle of Kansas takes the individual lead by one shot as three golfers sit one shot behind
Texas Tech used an 11-under 273 to get to 24-under for the tournament and extended its lead by ten shots at The Prestige at PGA West, the Greg Norman Course in La Quinta, Calif.
The Red Raiders shot a first-round 13-under 271 to take a five-shot lead and doubled it today behind a 13-under performance.
Kansas is in solo second place at 14-under and ten shots back of Texas Tech. Duke is in solo third place at 11-under and Kansas State is in solo fourth place at 10-under. Washington and Louisville are T5 at 9-under.
Cecil Belisle of Kansas shot a second-round 5-under 66 to take a one-shot lead heading into the final 18 holes. Belisle shot a first-round 4-under 67 to get into position to make a move on the second day, and he delivered.
Belisle, who is ranked No. 198 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com U.S. Rankings, won the Folds of Honor Collegiate in September and finished T8 in the Minnesota Amateur.

Ethan Evans of Duke, Connor Jones of Colorado State, and Petr Hruby of Washington are all T2 at 8-under and just one shot behind Belisle. Pono Yanagi of Washington State and Riccardo Fantinelli of Princeton are T5 at 7-under.
First-round leader Tyran Snyders of Texas Tech, Karl Vilips of Stanford, and Louis Pilod of Cal Poly are T7 at 6-under.
2023 U.S. Junior champion Bryan Kim of Duke, 2023 Walker Cupper Calum Scott of Texas Tech, and Matthew Comegys of Texas Tech are T10 at 5-under.
